  1. This program will allow you to create your own sound effects.
  2. To start the program, enter  RUNME    from the keyboard, or
  3. run the file RUNME.BAT from the Windows program manager.
  4.  
  5. The program is very easy to use.  You can enter new sounds,
  6. or edit sounds you have entered previously with the built in
  7. line editor.  Also, you can save and open sound files.
  8.  
  9. Included is the program  PLAY.EXE  which will allow you to play
  10. sounds from batch files or from the command line.  To use this
  11. program, type in

  13.                     PLAY filename
  14.  
  15. For those of you unfamiliar with batch files, look at the file
  16.  
  17.                     HEAR.BAT
  18.  
  19. This file can be started at boot-up by placing the command 
  20.  
  21.                    HEAR
  22.  
  23. in your autoexec.bat file (you must also include its path; there are many 
  24. books detailing batch files - you may have a good section in your operating
  25. system manual).  Anyways, just type  HEAR and "see" what happens.

  27. This is shareware, so feel free to distribute it as you wish.  There is a
  28. registered newer version (which is a polite way to say that it has been
  29. "sprayed for bugs") available for a modest fee.
